Vlad joined the firm as an associate in 2020. He was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 2012 after completing his legal studies at the University of Ottawa. Prior to that, Vlad was called to the Ukraine Bar in 1994 and practiced law for ten years in Ukraine.
Vlad practices in the area of corporate and commercial law. Vlad represents corporate clients in a variety of matters including incorporation and business structuring, governance, corporate reorganizations, amalgamations, mergers, acquisitions, as well as dissolution and take-over transactions. He is experienced in negotiating, reviewing and drafting shareholder, partnership, joint venture and franchise agreements. He also has extensive experience in counselling businesses, as well as negotiating, reviewing and drafting complex agreements relating to commercial transactions and business structures. He has facilitated numerous purchases and sales of businesses, and assisted clients in commercial leasing.
Vlad also has experience in negotiating, drafting and reviewing a wide variety of technology agreements. He also advises clients on laws and regulations relating to marketing, advertising and contests. Vlad previously practiced law with both local and regional law firms, as well as the Ottawa office of a national law firm.
He is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
